My Grandson's Graduation Ceremony

My grandson studied at the University of Sydney, Australia. The University held a graduation ceremony on May 24th this year.

The University of Sydney, founded in 1850, is the oldest

university in Australia. The University of Sydney is currently ranked 40th in

the 2021 QS World University Rankings.

The graduation ceremony is an unforgettable

moment for each student to share his success with his family, friends and

classmates.

Enter the Venue (Great Hall)

Principal's speech

After the

Principal gave a brief speech, all the graduates took the stage in order,

They received the certificate from the Principal, shook hands with him and

accepted his good wishes. There was thunderous applause from all around.

Jeffrey came to

the stage to receive his degree.

Exit

As the organ sounded, the Principal and University committee

members exited first, followed by the graduates.

The Mace of the University of Sydney was

made in 1854 to symbolize the power of the School Board. It was given to the

University of Sydney in the name of the then Governor of New South Wales on

behalf of Queen Victoria.

The official scepter scepter is carried by the Esquire Bedell , a junior ceremonial office of the University, in the entry and exit of the graduation ceremony and other official ceremonies, the scepter leads the procession.

The whole ceremony was full of ritual .

The bell of the clock tower sounded slowly

and steadily, resounding through the University of Sydney. At this moment, the

power of education surpasses everything, as long as the ringing of the bell.
