青蛙和牛

"Oh Father," said a little Frog to the big

one sitting by the side of a pool, "

I haven't seen such a terrible monster

 before! It was as big as a mountain,

with horns on its head, and a long tail,

and it had hoofs divided in two."

An ox who was feeding in a swampy

meadow once trod on a family of frogs.

Many of them were crushed but one

escaped and hopped back to tell his

mother what had happened.

"Mother," he cried,"there was such an

anormous animal in the field. I have

never seen anything like it."

The mother frog puffed her wrinkled skin out.

"Was it as big as this?"she asked.

"Oh much bigger,mother,"said the young frog.

The mother frog puffed herself even more.

"Was it as big as this,then?"she asked in a

strangled sounding voice.

"A hundred times bigger,mother. Even if you burst yourself with breath you would never reach half its size."

The mother frog was angry at the thought of someone being bigger than she was. Bending her thin frogy legs to the ground she took an anormous breath, puffing herself out and out until her wrinked skin was as smooth as a drum and her eyes bulged with the effort.

"Big,bigger,big,bigger,"she thought to herself,"Bigger and bigger,and bigger and bigger.Biggest!" Until with a great gulp of air she burst with a bang and fell flat on the grass. Dont try to look bigger and better than you really are.
