<p>Globalization is causing a lot of changes in international culture. From the way people entertain themselves, to the international capital flow. One major area which has been affected by globalization is traveling. According to a recent worldwide survey, the total number of air travellers in 2018 reached 4.3 billion, an increase of 6.1% over 2017. It obviously shows that globalization has greatly promoted the development of tourism all over the world, and China occupies a significant part of it.</p><p>People are traveling more. Their interests in learning about familiar things are increasing because of convenient transportation. With the rapid development of technology, more and more new means of transportation are applied in our life. The most convenient way to travel is metro. Almost every major city has a subway line. Perhaps the periphery of each country’s metro system is made by itself, but most of the core technologies are imported from more advanced countries. For example, the vehicle traction and control technology of subway are the key technology for supporting subway vehicles. Most of the technology used in Chinese subways comes from four companies—Siemens of Germany, Bombardier of Canada and Alstom from France, which monopolized the railroad. Chinese high- speed rail technology has also reached the international advanced level. Its speed is up to 400 kilometer an hour, with good internal environment and high comfort. Lots of countries are studying this technology, to apply it to their domestic country. These clearly show the performance on traffic tools affected by globalization.</p><p> Globalization has help us a lot with our traffic, which makes travel easy and lead to increasing numbers of travellers. According to the report released by ACI in 2018, a total of 8.8 billion passengers traveled to airports around the world, up 6.4 percent year on year. From 2015 to 2018, China has received 140 million inbound tourists and foreign tourists made 30.54 million visits. Thus, the data is keeping rising. As you can see, the arrival of foreigners illustrates the almost uniform impact of globalization on all countries. Travelers to China also bring their languages, food and culture with them. The collision and exchange of different cultures will be integrated over time to promote the development of globalization. We are all learning foreign cultures, from the clothes they wear to the food they eat.</p><p>Besides the way people travel, the urban planning is also improving. China’s urban planning continues to improve. It draws on the planning schemes of Japan, the Americas and some developed countries to improved our living environment 30 years ago, it used to be that Chinese opportunities to experiment with foreign food dumpling and bun were available on the street. Now, we can eat at restaurants with foreign cuisine and buy ready-made food in shops. If you walk down any main street in and major world city, you can find at least KFC or McDonald’s. You can see clearly changes caused by globalization, make our life becomes richer.</p><p>In conclusion, globalization has had a significant effect on the way that Chinese travel. Fast vehicles, take the place of long ones, also have negative impacts on the environment. And as you see, people’s interests in China and their interests in traveling have never change. And I hope China can go from strength to strength in terms of tourism.</p>
