Rapunzel

Long time ago, there was a couple who had no kid. So they prayed to God and hoped that God could give them a child.

There was a splendid garden near their house. They could see it from their s. In that garden, there were so many beautiful plants. But it was surrounded by high walls. What's more, there lived a witch who had magic power. Everyone feared her.

One day, the wife saw the fresh lettuces in that garden. She wanted to get some eagerly. Her desire was very strong, but she didn't know how to get them. Soon she became ill.

Her husband knew this and decided to steal some for her. When it was dark, he slipped into the garden and dug up some lettuces.

But after his wife ate them up, her desire was even stronger. So the husband went into the garden again. This time, he was caught by the witch. The witch said he could take as many lettuces as he wanted, but he had to give his child to her when his wife gave birth to it.The man agreed.

When his wife gave birth to a girl, the witch appeared and took the baby away.The witch called ner rapunzel. Rapunzel became more and more beautiful. The witch locked her into a tower when she was 12 years old. There was only a little   at the top of the tower. Every time the witch came to see her, she would ask Rapunzel to let down her long hair, and then she would climb up.

One day a prince passed by. He was fascinated by Rapunzel's singing. He wanted to enter the tower to see her, but he couldn't find

the door or the stairway. Once when he was listening to the song behind a tree, the witch came. Then he knew how to enter the tower.

The next day, he entered the tower in the same way and asked Rapunzel to be his wife. At first Rapunzel was terribly frightened by

him. After a while, she didn't fear him any longer and consented. But He didn't know how to get down. Rapunzel said,"Every time you come, please bring a strand of silk. I will use it to weave a ladder. Then I can climb down ."

Unfortunately, the witch discovered this. She was very angry.She cut off the girl's long hairand threw her into a wilderness.

When the prince came again, the witch told him what she had done to Rapunzel. The prince was so sad that he jumped from the tower. The thorns poked out his eyes and he was blind. After several years, the prince heard

 the familiar song again. Rapunzel saw him and ran to hug him tightly. She cried and her tears fell into his eyes. The miracle happened. His eyes could see again. Both of them were very happy. The prince took her to his kingdom and they lived together happily.
