I'm in Class Three, Grade Eight of Shangqiu No. 1 Junior High School. Today, my topic is “How to fight the novel coronavirus”. </p><p> Because of the outbreak of the novel coronavirus, some of our Chinese people are stuck at home, some are stuck far away from home, some can’t get back to their jobs, and some are still working day and night. But we must win this war without smoke together. How can we do our best to fight the virus? Here is some advice.</p><p> First, we should protect ourselves well. As we know, the novel coronavirus is spread mainly through droplets. So we must wear masks when we go outside. And we mustn’t go to crowded places, such as supermarkets, parks or the station. Besides, remember to wash hands immediately as soon as we arrive home.</p><p> Second, we should stay in a good mood. Though the virus is fierce, we needn’t be afraid because we have a powerful country and excellent doctors and nurses. We should fight the virus as bravely as we can. However, in the meantime, we have the chance to witness the glory of human nature.</p><p> During the Spring Festival, we have seen many doctors and nurses volunteer to give up the vacation and join the frontline of fighting against the virus. We were deeply moved by these heroes, and there are so many touching stories. One report said that many female nurses cut their beloved long hair in order to take better care of the patients. In addition, there are pictures showing that when the medical workers take off the protective suits, their face are full of scars and marks. However, they would not take off the suits too soon, in order to save the medical resources.</p><p> They show great sense of responsibility and mission in fighting against the virus, and they are the most honorable people in this war without guns. The new strain coronavirus is a highly contagious disease with human-human transmission. After a short while, epidemic situation began to spread throughout China.</p><p> At present, under the leadership of theParty Central Committee, the whole nation is working together to fight the epidemic. The national government has taken active measures to control the disease. In the meanwhile, we know and are familiar with many selfless people. They are front-line workers, medical staff volunteers and so on.
