大年初一拜年，可是很有讲究的哟

　　在中国民间每年的大年初一都要去给长辈拜年，拜年是人们辞旧迎新、相互表达美好祝愿的一种方式。拜年的时间一般为初一至初五，过了腊月初八就走亲访友多被视为拜早年，而正月初五以后、十五之前走亲访友为拜晚年。

Every year in China, people go to the elders to celebrate the New Year. Chinese New Year is about symbolically doing away with the old of the previous year and beginning anew to usher in health, prosperity, and good fortune in the new lunar year. People often prepare gifts and start to pay Chinese New Year calls on Lunar January 1st.

着装要求

到亲朋家拜年，要注意自己的服饰得体，节日的服饰以都市休闲、时尚为主，不要穿得太运动，也不要穿晚礼服类的太正式。一般以暖色为主，红色更佳，不仅渲染喜庆，还带着传统意义上趋吉避邪的意思。如果颜色较深或是压抑，可适当增添一些小饰物来点缀。一家人的服装色彩尽量做到协调，以增加家庭的温馨感。

When visiting family and friends, you should pay attention to your clothing. Festive clothing is mainly fashionable and casual. Neither sports style or formal wear is recommended. Generally, warm colors are preferred, and Chinese try to wear red clothes, as we believe the color helps in getting rid of evil spirits. If you are wearing dark of depressing colours, a few cheerful ornaments are recommended.

做客礼仪

进门要根据亲朋好友家的环境请求换鞋；对亲朋好友家人一一打招呼（可提前了解亲朋好友的家庭成员情况及称呼）；礼貌送上礼品；以客厅为主要活动场所，未经主人允许，不要主动进到各个房间参观；要以主人家的生活习惯为主，不要像在自己家一样随意。与主人之间的聊天内容多以问候、寒暄，增进彼此感情为主。

When you are invited to someone’s house, you may need to remove your shoes at the door. And It’s polite to say hello to your friend’s families and bring a gift. Make sure you stay in the living room unless you are invited to go to other rooms. Don’t feel like you can be as casual as you are at home, and try to respect the owner’s living habits.

登门拜年时需要注意的事项

时间

选择合适的时间，乃拜年的第一要素。拜年前要先预约，不要因主人也出门拜年而跑空趟，同时也给主人一个提前准备的时间。拜年一般选择上午，但不要太早。人们一般在春节这天起得较晚，若过早登门拜年，往往让主人措手不及。但拜年也不能太迟，不要等开饭时间再到，应该留有寒暄聊天的时间。
Try to visit others in the morning, but don’t go too early, because most people get up late on the first day of Lunar New Year. If you visit others too early, they will be unprepared and surprised. But don’t visit too late, there should be some time to chat before meal.

如果有饭局，可适当在饭局前1个小时左右到，饭局结束后1个小时告辞；时间没有固定限制，可根据与拜年对象的关系来选择。如果没饭局，最佳时间是上午九时至十一时之间。下午以三时至五时之间为宜。没有饭局的拜年，交谈时间一般控制在半小时到一小时为宜。

When visiting others, if a meal is provided, you should arrive 1 hour earlier and leave 1 hour after the meal. This is not highly restricted. It’s really up to you to decide when to arrive and when to leave. If there is no meal, the perfect timing for you to arrive is 9-11 in the morning and 3-5 in the afternoon, and don’t stay over 1 hour.

手势

传统的拜年手势男女有别，男子作揖姿势是右手成拳，左手包住；女子则相反，但女子不抱拳，只压手。

The traditional Lunar New Year's greeting gesture is different for men and women. If you are male, right-hand half-fist, and then left hand hold the right hand in front of your chest. If you are female, you should do the fist palm salute the other way which should be right-hand on the top.

作揖（抱拳、拱手）

男子作揖姿势是右手成拳，左手包住；因为右手是攻击手，要包住以示善意。作揖时，晃三下就可以了，类似磕三个头。女子则相反，但女子不抱拳，只压手。

If you are male, right-hand half-fist, and then left hand hold the right hand in front of your chest. Raise both hands to brow, bent down and shake hands toward each other gently for three times. If you are female, you should do the fist palm salute the other way which should be right-hand on the top.

男子右手握拳，左手成掌对右拳或包或盖，这样的作揖手势是吉拜。反之则为凶拜，用于报丧、葬礼等。女子作揖是右手成掌在外包裹，但左手不抱拳只压手微屈，为吉拜。

When you are attending funeral, you should do the fist palm salute on the opposite way. Right-hand on the top for men and left-hand on top for women.
