One night, when mother read a story to her

boy about Grandpa Sun, he suddenly

asked if she could take him to watch the

sunrise one day.

" Sure! let's watch early tomorrow morning."

" Really? Need we go to the high mountain

top? Books always say: 'Watching the

sunrise on the top of a high mountain'!

" Of course we need not. We can watch it

down here our building. My sweet, have a

good sleep, and get up early and let's watch

the sunrise together tomorrow morning."

" Mummy, you are not kidding?"

" Good mother never tells lies! Good night,

my boy." mother kissed him on the forehead mildly.

Early the next morning, they went down to

the

garden down their building, of their own

community .

The boy felt excited for he would see the

sunrise,the first time in his life.

He went straightforward to the east where

the sun rises. But, there was a three-floor

house blocking him in front, away from the sun.

" Mummy, come on, come on. But ,why I

can't

see the Grandpa Sun! Where is he?"

" Never mind, my boy. Will you draw

backward a

few steps to see what happens!"

Following his mother's words, the boy

stepped backward, still not being able to

see where the sun rises.

One step, two steps, three more steps…

Suddenly, over the house's roof,bright golden rays came into his

eyes.

" Mummy, there, there, I see the sunrise.

It looks like a big duck egg yellow. How

wonderful it is!"

Mother bent down and hugged him and

whispered to him," You know wherever the

sunlight arrives, we can watch the sunrise.

Sometimes, we have to step back to get

what we want."

有一天晚上，妈妈正在给儿子讲太阳公公的故事。突然，小男孩问道:"妈妈，你可以带我去看一下日出🌅吗？听说日出很美的。"

"当然可以，明天我们就去看日出。你好好睡觉，明天早点起来，一起去看日出。"妈妈说。

"可是，看日出都得到很高很高的山顶上才能看到，不是吗？"

"不用，宝贝。只要在我们家楼下，小区的公园里面就看得到。"

"妈妈，是真的吗？你没骗我吧？"小男孩有点不相信。

"是真的！好妈妈从来不骗人。睡吧，我们明天早起去看日出哦"妈妈温柔地吻吻她的宝贝的额头。

第二天，太阳还没出来，他们就来到了楼下。

小男孩很兴奋地朝着太阳升起的方向跑去，但是在他面前是一座三层楼高的房子，挡住了他的视线。

“妈妈，快来！快来！可是我怎么没有看到日出呢？”

“啊，别急！你往后退退就可以看到太阳了。”

妈妈温柔地说。

小男孩听话地往后退，一步，两步，跑步……突然，一束光线照进小男孩的眼睛，扎得他睁不开眼。

“妈妈，我看到了，日出！太阳公公！”

在他面前是一个像鸭蛋黄一样新鲜的太阳！刚刚钻出来的太阳！小男孩高兴得手舞足蹈。

妈妈弯下腰，抱起他，轻轻地在他耳边说，“宝贝，有时候，我们不是往前冲去寻找我们要的，而是要往后退，才可以得到我们想要的呢！”
