My Trip to South Africa🇿🇦我的南非之旅

Day1,July 18th 

This is the first day of our trip to South Africa,we assembled at the BaiYun airport.There are six kids in the tour group,they are John,Tomas,Oscar,Daniel,Layla and me--Eugene.First,we took the plane to the Changi airport in Singapore,there were many films we could watch on the plane,such as CreedⅡ and Alita:Battle Angel.

       这是我们去南非旅行的第一天，我们在白云机场集合。游学团里有六个小朋友，他们是John、Tomas、Oscar、Daniel、Layla和我。首先，我们乘飞机去了新加坡樟宜机场，在飞机上我们可以看很多电影，如《拳王奎迪2》，《阿利塔：战斗天使》,这些可都是传说级的电影啊！太好了！

After 4 hours,we arrived the Changi Airport,we stayed here for 7 hours.We saw many beautiful flowers in the gardens of the airport,I have never seen gardens that were so beautiful!

After dinner,we went to take cash coupons of Changi Airport,when we were waiting,Mrs Zhou gave us a task:we need to ask a foreigner:“Where are you from? Where are you going to? What are you going to do?”I finished the task,but I forgot the second question!

       4个小时后，我们到达樟宜机场，在这里呆了7个小时。机场很漂亮，有商店、各式餐厅、电影院、奢饰品商店、花园......应有尽有，我感觉我在逛一个大型商场。我们在机场花园里看到了许多美丽的花朵，我从来没有见过如此美丽的花园！环境甚至比户外还好。       晚饭后，我们去取樟宜机场现金券，等待的时候，周老师给了我们一个任务：我们要问一个外国人：“你从哪里来？你要去哪里？你打算接下来干什么？”我问了一位来自英国威尔士的浓密络腮胡大叔，完成了任务，但我太紧张，竟然忘记了第二个问题的答案！太惨了！

And then,we watched a free movie.Finally,we got on the plane to South Africa at 1:00.

       接着，我们看了一部免费电影后，在凌晨1:00登上了飞往南非的飞机。

Day2,July 19th
We finally arrived Johnannesburg at 6:00,it seems like we flew for 5 hours,but actually we flew for 11 hours.It was very cold in South Africa.We met Jon,Jade and Jade’s parents:Steven and Jackey.And then,we went to our first destination--UKUTULA,it means“the quiet place”.We had a lesson about lion.And then,we saw some big cats like cheetah,they were friendly and cool，also a little bit cute.        我们在早上6点到达了约翰内斯堡，这看起来像我们飞了5个小时，但实际上我们飞了11个小时，因为有时差，我们中国在东八区，南非在东二区，所以南非的时间晚6小时。一出机场，寒风就迎面吹来，我还以为会很热呢。我们跟来接我们的Jon、Jade和Jade的父母：Steven和Jackie会合。然后前往第一个目的地Ukutula，意思是“安静的地方”。我们上了一节关于狮子的课。接着，我们去看一些像猎豹这样的大型猫科动物，类似山猫，它们很酷，也有点可爱。 In the evening,we sang and danced around a campfire,it was very fun!
At night,we had dinner but we were so tired.When I finished my beaf,I slept.        晚上，我们在篝火边唱歌跳舞，这很有趣！我们晚饭后本来还有课，但是这一路上我很兴奋，在飞机上睡得很少，到了UKUTULA又不肯睡午觉，我太累了，当我吃完牛扒，就趴在饭桌上睡着了。 Day3,July 20th
There were pancakes in breakfast,delicious!After that,we went to an obstacle course and had a race,it was easy but fun.
And then,we played a game:two pupils made a team,a team needed to built a shelter,a campfire,and a “SOS”.Things that Daniel and I built were very well,but Oscar and Layla’s were the best.
 In the afternoon,we had a game drive,we saw giraffes,zebras,buffaloes......the most beautiful one was a golden wildebeest.
After that,we played “Eggs Game”,it was fun,but I was too tired (we also saw a part of a movie).I heard the roaring of lions .        早餐有薄煎饼，很好吃，我连吃了三块！早饭后，我们去了一个障碍赛跑场，进行了一场比赛，倒挂爬缆绳、爬轮胎缝、钻铁丝网，像人猿泰山那样荡来荡去，最后荡进一个轮胎圈里，我自认为我表现得还不错。我们全身都沾满了灰。
       然后，我们进行了一个小游戏：两个学生组成一个小队，需要建造一个避难所（小木屋）、一个营火堆和一个“SOS”标志。我和Daniel合作，搜集树枝来建造避难所，短的木块搭建营火堆，很不错，但Oscar和Layla的是最好的，他们的木屋最大，也很漂亮。
       下午，我们驾车巡游，我们看到了长颈鹿、斑马、水牛、鸵鸟……最漂亮的是一头金黄的角马，在一团“黑”中十分夺目。之后，我们玩了“鸡蛋游戏”，游戏规则就是拿着自己的蛋做一个广告，用报纸、胶带、泡沫纸、纸巾把蛋武装起来，保护好它，最后把蛋抛向空中，蛋不碎就是赢家。只有Oscar的蛋没破。
       我太累了（晚上我们还看了一部电影的一部分）。临睡前，我听到了狮子的吼叫。

Day4,July 21st
Today is the last day in UKUTULA,in the morning,we went to the obstacle course again,we climbed a tower,it was very hard to get on it,but Daniel did it.
In the afternoon,we saw lions,tigers and hyenas,they were amazing!We saw some little hyenas,they were cute but dangerous.

Later we went hiking,the hill was not so big,so it was easy to get on the hill.We can see the beautiful sky of the evening on the hill.But it was hard to go down.

At night,we finished the movie that we saw yesterday.It was a nice day.

       今天是在Ukutula的最后一天。我被妈妈叫醒，妈妈说她已经听见狮子吼了15分钟了。早餐后，我们又去了障碍物跑场，今天玩攀岩，这对我来说非常难，我只爬了几步。但Daniel做到了，他看上去很轻松地爬到了顶端。我刚开始觉得不难，但后来怎么也爬不上去。
       下午，我们看到了狮子、老虎和非洲鬣狗，它们真是太酷了，尖利的牙齿和爪子！小非洲鬣狗很可爱，眼睛亮闪闪的，但它们很危险，是大自然中的顶级杀手。我不敢靠近它们（其实原因是出于电网，我怕碰到电网）。
       最后我们去徒步和爬山，山坡不高，所以很容易上山（但是下山很难，我差点摔倒几次）。在山顶上，我们可以看到广阔的蓝天和辽阔的大地，真美。
      晚上，我们看完了昨天看的那部电影。 Day5,July 22nd
In the morning,we left UKUTULA and went to a private school,we had a math lesson and a soccer competition with them(but we lost the soccer game).We also told them about China,my object was Dragon Boat Festival,I told them about QuYuan,ZongZi,and Dragon Boat Race.They were friendly and they would like to learn things that they didn’t know,that was a good point of them.
　　       早上，我们离开Ukutula，去了一所黑人私立学校。我们和六年级学生一起上数学课，课室里有点简陋，粗糙的墙壁和窗户，破旧的木桌木椅，破破烂烂的黑板。老师教我们万位以上加减法，很简单。课后，我们和他们进行了一场足球友谊赛，我们输掉了比赛，他们跑得快、射门射得准，实在太强了。我们向低年级小同学赠送文具小礼物，他们很兴奋，争着抢先拿到礼物，有的还想再拿第二份。我们还在大礼堂做了演讲，向他们介绍中国，我的演讲题目是端午节，我介绍了屈原、粽子和龙舟比赛。本地学生们安静地聆听，我们每人演讲结束时，他们就发出热烈的掌声，他们很喜欢学习他们不知道的东西，这是他们的优点。 We arrived Bakubung hotel in the afternoon,we had lunch very quickly, because we were going to have a game drive in Pilanesberg National Park.We saw a family of elephants who were walking on the golden grassland,amazing!We saw an interesting thing:an old male was charging a young male.We also saw many kinds of animals of South Africa, they are elephants, antelopes,hippos,wildebeests,giraffes,rhinos,a hare.       下午我们到了Bakubung酒店，迅速吃了午饭，因为我们15点要去Pilanesberg国家公园驾车巡游。刚进国家公园没多久，我们就看到一群大象在金黄色的草原上行走，比起低矮的灌木丛和草丛，这些大象就像一座座大山耸立在草原上，而小象就像一个个机灵活泼的孩子，整个队伍倘若一支精锐部队，向目标点进军。其实他们的顺序也是有讲究的，成年象走在两侧，保护中间的小象，这可以有效抵御捕食者的进攻。更有意思的是，我们看到一头老雄性大象正在驱逐一头年轻的雄性大象。我们还看到了南非的许多动物，它们是大象、羚羊、河马、角马、长颈鹿、犀牛、野兔。 Fortunately we saw a leopard were hunting,it met a herd of zebras,it wanted to hunt them but it was too hard,so it gave up.And then,it met a jackal,but it also lost this chance,poor leopard!And then ,the leopard saw three giraffes,the leopard stopped and waited for a chance.We were excited,but our driver said we must go back to the hotel because it was too late.What a pity!       更幸运的是，我们发现了一只豹子，它正在捕猎！它先遇到了一群斑马，想猎杀它们，于是蹲下准备伏击，但猎杀一群健康的成年斑马太难了，所以它放弃了。我们尾随着这只豹子，没多久，它遇到了一只狐狸，可我们的车暴露了它，狐狸马上跑了，它失去了这个机会，可怜的豹！我们继续尾随着，天色已晚，最后，豹看到了远处三只小长颈鹿，豹停了下来，趴下等待机会。我们很兴奋，但我们的司机说我们必须马上回酒店，因为太晚了。真可惜！

Day6,July 23rd
In the morning,we learned about the zebra,they were strong and they can use back legs to kick predators.Some zoo keepers said:“I can look after lions,but not zebras.”

And then,we wrote the diary about yesterday.After that,I played chess with Jon and Steven,I won,but we needed to play again because I did wrong.

       早上，我们上了一节关于斑马的课，斑马很强壮，可以用后腿踢捕食者，一些动物园管理员说：“我宁愿照顾狮子，也不照顾斑马。”我们写了昨天的日记后，我和Jon、Steven下棋，我赢了，但我们需要再下一盘，因为我做错了一步。 In the afternoon,also,a game drive.We saw many animals that we saw before.
When we were eating ,Jon said there were a pride of lions near the hotel.When we went there and looked, lions were eating a wildebeest.These lions finished the wildebeest before sunrise.There were 15 lions,1 male、10 females and 4 cubs.When they finished the meal,they disapeared.
      下午，我们又出去驾车巡游。我们看到了很多我们以前看到的动物，有点没意思。
       吃晚饭的时候，Jon说酒店附近有一群狮子。当我们去那里看的时候，狮子正在吃角马，离酒店的住房只有一两百米，太刺激了！一共有15只狮子，1只雄性，10只雌性和4只幼崽。这些狮子在日出前吃完了角马，然后就消失得无影无踪了。

Day7,July 24th
We had game drive for twice today,once in the morning,once in the afternoon.We saw a pride of lions were hunting wildebeests,but the wildebeests ran very fast so lions failed.I am bored,because I wanted to watched a real hunting.

We saw 4 kudus,2 steenboks,20 springboks, 100+ inpalas, 4 waterbucks,1 jackal,2 leopards, 6 lions, 31 zebras,29 elephants, 28 giraffes,9 white rhinos,2 black rhinos,7 hippos, 79 wildbeests.
At last,a herd of elephants were charging us because they thought we were dangerous,they were very scary.Our car went away quickly.

      今天我们进行了两次驾车巡游，一次在早上，一次在下午。途中，我们看到五只狮子正在猎杀角马，但角马跑得很快，而且角马分散行动，向四面八方逃去，让狮子乱了阵脚，不出意料，狮子失败了。我大失所望，因为我想看一场真正的成功猎杀。
       傍晚，我们回程时，遇到一个大象家族横过马路。这群大象追着我们，因为他们中间有小象宝宝，他们认为我们很危险，想保护自己的宝宝。我们的车马上加速跑了。
       今天我们边看动物边数数，我看到了100多只羚羊，1只狐狸，2只豹子，6只狮子，31只斑马，29头大象，28只长颈鹿，9只白犀牛，2只黑犀牛，7头河马，79头野牛。

At night,we had dinner in wild,we saw an interesting dance of Africa, it was fanstastic!

      晚上，我们在野外吃自助晚餐，我们见识了非洲有趣的舞蹈。

Day8,July 25th
After the breakfast，we learned about buffalos in Bakubung’s restaurant.And then，I lost the chess game(there should be a sad music here).
Then,we left Bakubung hotel and went to Seasons hotel.In the afternoon,we played in the playground of the hotel,I found a chess board so we played chess again.  I won for once ,Jon and Steven won for once too.       早餐后，我们了解了水牛，非洲水牛跟我们以往看到懒散散的水牛可不一样，它们具有攻击性，甚至几只狮子都不敢攻击一只在水里的水牛。然后，我们又去下国际象棋，我输了（这里应该有一首悲伤的音乐响起）。
       接着，我们离开Bakubung酒店，去下一站Seasons度假村。下午，我们在酒店的游乐园玩，我一直想着如何重新下国际象棋报仇雪恨，直到发现了一个国际象棋盘，便欣喜若狂，连忙叫上Jon来切磋几盘。我赢了一局，Jon和Steven也赢了一局。 Later,we played mini golf and soccer,we lost the soccer game,but there were three adults in the other team! If our team has three adults,I believe we could win.
       后来，我们一起去玩迷你高尔夫和足球，我们输掉了足球比赛，但另一队有三个成年人！这不公平！如果我们队也有三个成年人，我相信我们也能赢。 Day9,July 26th
Do you like elephants and monkeys?Today we went to the elephant and monkey senctuary.In the morning, we played with elephants and cleaned their rooms,made beds and prepared foods for them.There were a lot of pupu,but it was not smelly.        你喜欢大象和猴子吗？今天我们去了大象和猴子保育站。这些象和猴子来自不同国家和地方，是保护动物人士把它们救出，然后来到了保育站。
       这里有5头象，其中有2头是从马戏团里救出来的。上午，我们和大象一起玩耍，打扫了它们的房间，为它们准备了食物，这个过程虽然辛苦，但还是蛮有趣的。 In the afternoon, we played with monkeys and we prepared foods for them,they were smart,they can steal things from your pockets.
In the evening,I played football with John、Jon、Oscar、Tomas and Daniel，we played for about 1 hour,but Daniel’s foot got hurt.       下午，我们和猴子一起玩，为它们准备食物，它们很聪明，可以从你的口袋里偷东西。因为有些猴子是被坏人训练来偷东西的，来到了保育站虽然有吃有喝，但它们还是恶习不改。
       晚上，我和John、Jon、Oscar、Tomas和Daniel一起踢足球，我们踢了大约1个小时，但Daniel的脚受伤了，所以我们不踢了。

Day10,July 27th
Today is the last day in South Africa.We went to Lesedi that Xi DaDa came before in 2012.In the afternoon,a guide told us about some tribes of South Africa,I like ZULU best,because their weapons were cool.

At night,we watched some traditional dances of South Africa,these Africans were friendly and always smiled.It was very exciting,John and Oscar went to dance with the Africans,we were proud of them. 

      今天是在南非的最后一天。我们去了习近平总书记2012年来过的Lesedi民俗文化村。下午，一位导游带我们参观和介绍了五个南非传统部落，了解他们的文化习俗。我最喜欢ZULU部落，因为他们的武器很酷。
       晚上，我们欣赏了南非民俗舞蹈，这些非洲人很友好，总是微笑着。南非土著音乐充满活力的节奏，与HIP HOP有着异曲同工之妙。舞蹈好像踢踏舞一样，时而踏步，时而踢腿，时而跳起，充满力量，使人感觉到非洲当地人的激情和活力。John和Oscar还和他们一起跳舞，当他们俩成功时，全场都沸腾了，我们为John和Oscar感到骄傲。 July 28th
Went back home!        回家去了！
       这次南非之旅，我刷新了对南非的认识，我本来以为南非一片荒芜，可来到后才发现，这里的一切都很精彩，热情好客的本地人，辽阔的南非草原，各式各样美丽的动物，独特的土著房屋风格......这印证了一句话：人不可貌相，海水不可斗量。
