I have been teaching for more than ten years. I began my teaching career by working as a literacy aide for three years in a developmental reading program at Oak Park and River Forest High School, where I also completed my student teaching. After completing my masters degree in English, I taught at Elmwood park high school for four years. I took an extended leave of absence to be home to raise my two young children. After they began school full time, I resumed teaching at Triton College, where I have been teaching for six years and I currently teach writing composition and rhetoric classes, and Marian Catholic High School, where I have been teaching for five years and where I currently teach freshman, sophomore, and senior English classes. I have taught a variety of classes, including freshman English, honors freshman English, sophomore English, honors sophomore English, senior writing, senior literature, Greek and Roman mythology, speech/effective communication, creative writing, developmental reading, language skills, and college level composition and rhetoric. I am looking forward to joining the Ray Chinese School teaching community and am excited about teaching AP English classes here. </h3>
