My hometown, Hengdong County, lies in the southeast of Hunan Province, which is

surrounded by mountains and rivers. Here

you can enjoy the beautiful scenery, taste

the delicious food and feel the rich culture.

It's a good place for you to spend your free

time and it is also a perfect place for

relaxing(relaxation)!

我的家乡，衡东县，位于湖南东南部，四面环山绕水。在这儿，你可以肆意享受美景，品尝美食，体味丰富的文化底蕴。这儿也是你度假休闲的绝佳圣地。

51.7% of Hengdong is covered with forests.The water in Mishui River is so clean that you can see the fish swimming happily in it without being afraid of you at all. Wujiashan Forest Park is just located in

the center of the city where you can breathe the fresh air and do the morning exercises.

The New Bridge connects the main city and

Hexi as a whole. What attracts people most is the scenery in the evening. The colorful

lights shine brightly and the breeze blows

gently. The old men are dancing in the square, children are running happily and the young men are talking happily. Everyone seems to lose themselves in the beautiful scenery. People all around the world will fall in love

with it as soon as seeing it. Whenever you

have been here and no matter where you are,you would never forget its charming scenery.

全县森林覆盖率达到51.7%，是“全国造林绿化百佳县”。洣水之水清澈见底，鱼儿在里头欢快的游来游去，丝毫不理会周围的旁人。武家山公园位于衡东城区中央，这里是早晨呼吸新鲜空气和晨练的理想之地。新大桥把衡东县城和河西有机得合为一体。衡东最让人着迷的地方就是这儿的夜景。彩灯照耀，微风徐徐。老人在广场欢快得跳着广场舞，孩子们高兴得嬉戏着，年轻的朋友谈笑风生。来自世界各地的朋友只要来到这定会深深地爱上她。不论您是否来过这儿，也不论您是否在哪，您一定会流连忘返。

Another amazing part of my hometown is the local dish. As an experienced foodie, I strongly recommend several famous dishes to you. If you come here, you can’t miss the eight Main Special Dishes. For example, Zhentang fish is so delicious that you would never forget it as soon as you take only a little sip of the soup. Hengdong local food belongs to one type of Xiang Style which is famous for its spicy, tasty, beauty and convenience. The history of yellow pepper can date back to Qing Dynasty which was served to the king and thus got its name as Huanggongjiao. So far, the government has successfully hosted two food festivals which attract the tourist all over the world. You can find the introduction of it from Geography of China on CCTV.

我的家乡衡东另外一个令人着迷的地方就是它的土菜。作为一名资深的吃货，我强烈得推荐你衡东最有特色的几道土菜。如果您来到衡东，一定不能错过衡东最有名的八大土菜。比如，真塘鱼味美色香，您只要舔一小口汤，我保证您将永生难忘。衡东土菜属于湘菜之一，以鲜、辣、美、便而著称。黄贡椒的历史可以追溯到清朝，皇帝的御用饮食，因此得名。到目前为止，衡东县政府已成功举办两届美食节，吸引了来自全国各地的游客。为此，您可以在中央电视台的《地理中国》中找到相关介绍。

Also, Hengdong is a county full of rich culture. It is the hometown of Piying Play, paper cuttings and the poems. Whats more, Hengdong is also the birthplace of some famous people such as Peng Jun and Luo Ronghuan—ten pioneers in the founding of PRC.

衡东文化底蕴深厚。是著名的皮影之乡、剪纸之乡、诗歌之乡。衡东人杰地灵、英才辈出，清代状元彭浚、共和国元帅罗荣桓都出生于这片神奇的土地。

People here are friendly and easy-going who work hard so as to make it richer. We all love our hometown deeply from the bottom of our hearts.

衡东人民友好随和，勤俭持家。我们从内心深处深深地热爱着我们家乡的这片土地。
