<h3>Ray Chinese School is pleased to announce a new member of our faculty: <font color="#167efb">Professor Peter Murray</font> will join Ray Chinese School to instruct <font color="#167efb">SAT/ACT Reading and Writing Preparation</font>. The course is now open for registration. </h3><h3></h3><h3><br></h3><h3>Mr. Murray has 14 years of college educational experience. He is an adjunct Professor of English at East-West University in Chicago, and his current responsibilities at the University include:</h3><h3>o Teaching Advanced English grammar, usage, composition, and critique;</h3><h3>o Teaching Composition I/II, Writing from Sources, English Literature III, Ethics, Rhetoric, Debate, Speech, Introduction to College Writing;</h3><h3>o Development and teaching of curricula for Senior-level Seminar classes.</h3><h3><br></h3><h3>In addition, Mr. Murray is familiar with the ACT/SAT Exams due to his position as a Test Preparation Instructor at FengHua Academy. At FengHua, he provides instruction of test taking strategies in the areas of reading, writing, and grammar. He also leads small-group tutoring with a focus on developing strong problem-solving skills. His courses are very popular at FengHua Academy; most students have greatly improved their SAT/ACT reading/writing scores, and many have received full scores in SAT/ACT English portion. </h3><h3><font color="#167efb"><br></font></h3><h3><font color="#167efb">Course Objective:</font> The objective of the SAT/ACT preparation course is to prepare students for the English Sections of the SAT and ACT exams. In addition to supplying an overview of the structure for each English component of ACT and SAT, this course trains students to analyze complex prompts and literary selections, and then to organize their insights into an articulate format. The course also provides test taking tips and strategies, as well as thorough review and practice for both the Reading and Writing sections included in each exam. Furthermore, the essay portions of the ACT/SAT exams are also covered in this course, with an in-depth delve into the nuances of writing.<br></h3><h3><br></h3><h3><font color="#167efb">When: </font>The course is offered on Saturday for 2-classes, 1:00pm-2:45pm, 13 weeks, totally 26-classes, 9/13-12/15.</h3><h3><font color="#167efb">Fee:</font> $280.</h3><h3><font color="#167efb">Classroom:</font> 131 </h3><h3><br></h3>
